Bowflex - Classic Home Gym

The Bowflex classic home gym seems like a great machine for the money at first, but when the time comes to workout, the overall experience is very poor. The resistance rods offer a very inconsistent level of resistance across the range of motion and it is very difficult to maintain proper positioning during workouts. Beyond this, you can complete 30 different workouts on this machine, but changing resistance levels and making machine adjustments is a serious hassle.

The Bowflex machine seems great on the surface but it really does not offer enough versatility, reliability, or usability to be worth the $649 price tag. Also, consider the major recalls that have plagued Bowflex as many users suffered serious physical injury while using certain Bowflex home gyms. We’d recommend steering clear of this Bowflex machine and going with a nice, sturdy, weight stack machine that will get the job down right and provide a safe, convenient, workout experience.
